Empowering Every Culture, Every Community, Every Voice
Dementia Action Groups are a collective initiative dedicated to creating truly dementia-friendly communities across Australia and beyond.
We believe that no one should feel isolated after a diagnosis. That’s why we operate not as a single organisation, but as a network of local action teams, each committed to meeting the unique needs of their own community.

Inclusive and Culturally Sensitive

We are a group empowered by being inclusive and sensitive to different cultures, recognising that every community brings its own strengths, traditions, and ways of connecting.
By embracing diversity, we ensure that people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, understood, and supported.
Our Foundation Regions

We’re proud to have four active and growing Dementia Action Groups leading the way:
-
Blue Mountains Dementia Action Group
-
Blacktown Dementia Action Group
-
Liverpool Dementia Action Group
-
Canterbury–Bankstown Dementia Action Group
Together, these regions form a strong and connected network — sharing ideas, resources, and experiences to make a bigger impact.

Working Together for Change

By collaborating across our hubs, we’re able to:
-
Share successful strategies that support people living with dementia
-
Pool resources to strengthen community outreach
-
Amplify our collective voice to influence change at both local council and government levels
Whether you live in the heart of Liverpool, the busy suburbs of Blacktown, or the beautiful natural environment of the Blue Mountains, you have a local team working hard to ensure you and your loved ones are supported, respected, and included.
